Larry Brown says 'bad karma' from the Phil Jackson move will hurt the Knicks

The way Larry Brown tells it, karma will overpower zen -- and then, boy, will the Knicks be sorry they ever hired Phil Jackson.

In an interview with Sirius XM Radio on Monday, Brown -- the former NBA coach now at SMU -- slammed the Knicks for putting Bicoastal Phil in the front office, and for the awkward handling of Brown's buddy, Mike Woodson, the Knicks' coach who is undoubtedly on his way out at the end of the season.

“I’m sick about what’s happening with Michael (Woodson),” Brown said. “The way they’ve treated Mike Woodson, I think he went 15-5 when he took over that team two years ago. And then last year they won 54 games. I think from 2001, they might’ve won one playoff series. He’s done a remarkable job. They’ve had terrible injuries. They lost a GM that I thought did a great job. And then they didn’t bring any older guys. When you lose Jason Kidd and Kurt Thomas and Rasheed Wallace, you lost your locker room.”
